The Contact is Giant’s mid-width all-rounder, and at 690mm it’s an ideal choice if you want to add control over a skinny original fitment bar without worrying about having to change stem length or smashing your knuckles on too many trees. At 249g it’s 29g heavier than stated but that’s still relatively light for its width and its cost thanks to the use of 7000 series alloy.
