Description 1950s BATES FRAMESET SIZE 22|22.5"/ 56cms WESTCLIFF-ON-SEA FRAME No 16836 - 5 On offer a fine original example, with Cantiflex tubing, Diadrant fork, and Nervex Professional lugs. Red with white head tube, barbers pole seat tube, lugs lined in black, chrome front and rear forks. Paint and chrome all in first class condition, "appears" to have been refurbished some years ago. Original braze on parts have been retained, it has not been modernised, single lever boss looks like Simplex. I'm happy to supply a seat post if required. Note also the set of unique mudguard/ fender fasteners on the fork and seat stays. Difficult to fault, some fragmentation of transfers. Any questions, please be in touch.
